@ItsNonFiction "Money's My Religion" Video
As a growing and impressionable youth, NonFiction found himself drawn to genres such Hip Hop and R&B, initially following artists such as 50 cent, Eminem, Ludacris, Jay Z, Kanye West, Ne-Yo, Usher, Chris Brown and Drake. A combination of these artists would eventually be what is responsible for forming his unique Hip/Hop meets alternative R&B style.
Times became tough for NonFiction throughout his teenage years, leaving home at a young age and eventually troubles with the law. With his life appearing to be on a downward spiral, NonFiction joined the Canadian Navy. After a summer of basic training he was inspired to make a fresh start. NonFiction returned to his home town and purchased recording equipment from which he would go on to record and release multiple mixtapes.
A brief partnership with an independent record label was where he would hone his recording, mixing and mastering skills. He would work countless hours shadowing the sound engineer absorbing as much knowledge as possible. After a falling out, NonFiction would return to his roots, record and release a few more mixtapes.
Today, NonFiction has partnered with From the Dust Productions Inc., a Toronto based independent record label and is looking forward to creating, recording and distributing his music world-wide.
